I came back to Iowa for 6 days recently. This bar was around when I lived there too but it's gotten better. I liked the outdoor patio and the wide selection on the juke box. And holy shit, they had Sierra Nevada on tap. I'm far from a beer snob but I've become accustomed to being able to get awesome beer whenever I want and I wasn't in the mood to drink Bud Light, Coors Light, or Miller Lite. Also, they had this whiskey called Templeton that was pretty good. The bartender was also a gem.

This place is the cat's whiskers. Super hole in the wall dive that you would miss if someone didn't take you there.... Drinks are cheap and not so watered down , solid jukebox collection and there's always an eclectic mix of people there who are probably regulars since they all seem to know each other..

This is probably the best bar in Cedar Falls. And the next best bar would be the Blue Room. The barkeeps at The Cypress have always been very friendly to me. If you aren't a college frat kid, this is a spot to hit up.

Great hole in the wall bar off Cedar Falls Main St. Solid jukebox selection, darts, pool, cool back porch, always a unique crowd. THE place to check out if you drink jagermeister or use terms like "bro" and "brother." Cash only could be considered one drawback.
